Philosophy:
My approach to helping people who come to see me is to listen carefully with empathy to learn their unique personal psychology, their way of seeing their issue, their world and what they want from treatment. I then use the best evidence-based and scientifically proven interventions delivered in a clearly positive way and in a way the person can fit into their life, values, and way of thinking immediately. I often suggest resources such as books and web sites to help the person continue their journey toward wellness or recovery outside of the session time and long after the therapy has concluded.
