Heart Transplant and Cardiovascular: EKG interpretation, fluid volume management, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump and Ventricular Assist Device monitoring, pacemakers, hemodynamic monitoring, and use of Swan-Ganz Catheters, care and removal of central lines, and management of vasoactive drips. Lung Transplant and Pulmonary: Ventilator management, tracheotomy care, airway suctioning, assistance with bronchoscopies, and chest tube care. Neurological and Neurosurgery: Intra-Cranial Pressure monitoring and use of Extra-Ventricular Drains, and seizure precautions. Liver transplant and Gastrointestinal: Ostomy care, management of biliary drains, insertion and management of feeding tubes. Renal and Genitourinary: Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, continuous bladder irrigation, care of ureteral stents, and peritoneal dialysis. Endocrine and Metabolic: Monitoring blood sugars, management of continuous intravenous insulin drips, electrolyte replacement. Pain Management: Monitoring Patient Controlled Analgesic and epidural nerve blocks, long-term sedation management, and procedural sedation. Wound Care: dressing changes, set-up and use of wound vacs, and assessment and treatment of pressure ulcers.
