Abstract:
A hand-held pick-and-place apparatus includes a body, a tip secured to the body, and a grasping element which may be contained within one or both of the body and the tip and which may be extruded through the tip. An exposed exterior end of the grasping element is useful for picking up pieces for modification, manipulation, or transport thereof. The pick-and-place apparatus may also include a cap disposable over the tip so as to protect the exposed exterior end of the grasping element as the apparatus is being stored. An accessory tool which includes one or more tools, such as a placement tip, a rounded stylus, tweezers, a cutting blade, a ball point, a poker, an adhesive applicator, a brush, a scraper, or writing or marking instrument, may be securable to the pick-and-place apparatus.
