Philosophy:

I am a board certified adult psychiatrist who offers individual psychotherapy with or without medication management. My psychotherapy training is based in Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. The specific approach will depend on what issues you bring in and what is most likely to help you make change. Most of all, I hope to create a warm environment where we can work together. Due to the complex nature of most psychiatric conditions, I believe a certain amount of psychotherapy is necessary for sustained change. Therefore, I do not offer medication-only treatment, ie medication management. I am skilled in treating a number of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar illness and ADHD. I enjoy working on the larger impact these conditions may have on a person's life and well-being.
