The body member of the blade carrier includes a pair of first flexible electrical conductors extending there-through. Each conductor enters the body member and terminates at a first end located beyond a respective end of the body member. The wiper blade includes a relatively long first resistance heating element fully enclosed within a longitudinal passageway and which is electrically connected at each end to a first end of a respective one of a pair of second flexible electrical conductors.
