Dr. Elizabeth ManejÃÂas is a practicing physician at Hospital for Special Surgery's Integrative Care Center. Dr. ManejÃÂas specializes in the non-surgical care of spine, musculoskeletal and neurological injuries, and offers an integrative approach to the management of conditions common in the athlete and performing artist. Certified in medical acupuncture, she integrates the use of acupuncture into the care of painful musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. ManejÃÂas completed a fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery in spine and sports medicine focusing in the specialized care of the performing artist and osteoporosis management. Professionally trained in ballet, Dr. ManejÃÂas is active in the performing arts community and provides educational lectures to The Joffrey Ballet students on dance injuries and medical problems common in the female athlete.
