My approach is conservative, selective and extremely individualized. I prefer to treat all patients without the extraction of teeth (even baby teeth). I present cosmetic treatment options to adults that include fewer braces in the mouth, and treatment plans that take a year or less. I like to see patients for their first visit at age 7, 8 or 9. The permanent teeth start coming in at this age, the bones of the face and jaws are still growing and the child is usually more cooperative.
