My practice is mainly limited to referral lipidology. This means that I see only patients with disorders of cholesterol or triglycerides, although I can address diabetes, obesity and other related problems in these patients with dyslipidemia. Generally, patients are referred to me by other doctors for severe or difficult problems with cholesterol and other lipid disorders. Patients who see me are expected to keep their primary-care doctors and other specialists. I do not do routine primary care nor do I admit patients to the hospital.
