Philosophy:
Although I no longer perform surgery, I continue non-surgical treatment of all orthopedic problems, and am happy being a very conservative Physician. I believe that the body wants to get well, so don't get in the way! I have found that most injuries happen during stressful times and orthopedic illnesses include elements of denial, grief, anger, and impatience. These are ingredients that interfere with healing. I strive to incorporate a culture of healing in his practice, by encouraging the patient to accept the injury or illness, release the stress, let go of anger, and give in patiently to the marvelous but slow healing process. This leads to a more efficient recovery with less pain and less anxiety, and with the smallest scars.
