Philosophy:
Edward Shalts, M.D. is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with extensive experience in neurophysiology and holistic medicine. Dr. Shalts graduated from Medical School in Moscow, U.S.S.R. in 1982. He worked as Research Fellow in the Neuro-Endocrinology Laboratory at Columbia University from 1989 to 1993. Dr. Shalts authored a number of neurophysiology articles in major medical publications. After passing the Medical Boards he did his residency and served as the chief resident at the Department of Psychiatry at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Shalts joined MHMC in November 2011 and is a Medical Director of Neuroscience and Cognitive Rehabilitation Department (NCR). NCR provides QEEG, Neurofeedback and Magnetoencelography machine (MEG) services among others.
