All of our patients have conditions of the breast which require evaluation and may require surgical treatment. We take the time to sit down and listen to our patients concerns. We review breast imaging studies that have been performed and order additional imaging as needed. We perform risk assessment for breast cancer and send our patients to a certified genetics risk assessment counsellor at not cost, to determine if there is a need for genetic testing. A focused breast ultrasound examination is performed in our office by Dr Donahue. Image guided breast biopsy and breast cyst aspiration can be performed in the office. Ultrasound guided lumpectomy is performed for patients who desire breast conservation. All of our patients with breast cancer are discussed at a multi-specialty breast conference that includes a patient navigator, nutrition specialist, breast radiologist, pathologist, radiation oncologist, medical oncologist and a breast surgeon. We also offer second opinions.
