This Santa Barbara, California native is a 3-tour Veteran of Vietnam in the late sixties. In February of 1970 Scotty returned to a nation struggling to re-identify itself and move on. And that’s exactly what he did, heading for Brigham Young University to earn his BS degree in Marine Biology. <br />He spent the next 30 years (seems about half of that under water) in sales, marketing and international business and product development in the diving/marine industry. Scotty began his career with Jacques Cousteau and holds a Master (diving) Instructor license with PADI International (card no. ‘10’). He has taught at the PADI College, CDC (Commercial Diving Center), the Coronado Island Training Center and all over the globe teaching other instructors, Navy Seals and foreign military how to dive, use and service equipment.<br />With the purchase of his first home in 1976 in Huntington Beach, CA, he recognized the sheer prudence in securing his hard-earned cash with real estate investments. Being an A-type there was no way a Realtor® was going to know more than Scotty so he studied and picked up his California Real Estate license that same year. While not working in the industry, Scotty has remained an active investor over the last 4 decades, moving into multi-family and commercial holdings.<br />Settling in Reno, Nevada in 1996 on a job transfer, it wasn’t until 2003 that Scotty earned his Nevada Real Estate license. Coincidentally, it was at that same time that he discovered the incredible magic being wrought by an obscure group known as NCE®. Re-inventing himself at this late age, and building on these relationships, Scotty began his new career as an Investment Counselor. Over the next several years, Scotty mentored and counseled hundreds of would-be investors through his workshops on subjects such as Asset Protection, Exchanging and Wealth Management, Financial & Retirement Planning and the use of self-directed IRAs and Individual 401k’s. He has truly mastered the power in client counseling and equity marketing.<br />Today, Scotty is a top-producing Realtor® with Ferrari-Lund and an Instructor for the Equity Marketing Specialist Designation (EMS®) developed by the National Council of Exchangors. He has taught and counseled hundreds of other Realtors®, clients and special interest groups including Financial Planners, lenders and investment clubs. He has also been a guest speaker for the Rich Dad® and Tigrent Learning organizations.
