Abstract:
Simplified, easy-to-use electrical utility box positioning jig assemblies () are provided including an elongated, upright standard () having opposed, generally flat, front and rear surfaces, and a support () positionable along the length of the standard () and operable to hold a utility box () during attachment thereof to a structural member (). In one embodiment, the support () is generally C-shaped and is designed to hold a utility box () commonly used in residential construction. Alternately, a C-shaped support () may be used having permanent magnets (), in order to hold a metallic utility box () used in commercial construction. The standard () is designed for direct, face-to-face contact with a structural member (), and is slotted to allow selective placement of the associated box holder ().
