Illuminated Gun Sight And Low Ammunition Warning Assembly For Firearms

US Patent:
5735070, Apr 7, 1998
Filed:
Mar 21, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/621733
Inventors:
Eduardo C. Vasquez - Miami FL
Michael S. Critchley - Miami FL
International Classification:
F41A 962, F41G 134
US Classification:
42 102
Abstract:
An assembly for use on weapons includes an illuminated gun sight system to permit the user to aim and shoot the weapon in varying ambient light conditions and including a first light emitting element on a front sight and a second pair of light emitting elements on a rear sight of the firearm, a light generating source to provide light to the first light emitting element and the second pair of light emitting elements; the first and second light emitting elements including a light modifying element to produce a distinct luminous reference shape of uniform light intensity throughout a visible light radiating area. A servo system sensor is responsive to ambient light conditions for adjusting the intensity of light radiating from the light emitting elements so that the intensity of light radiating from the light emitting elements increases and decreases in direct relation to changes in ambient light conditions. A low ammunition warning system includes a detector and a circuit for tracking depletion of ammunition contained in the weapon. Visible and tactile signals, responsive to the circuit, warn the user when a known pre-set low ammunition count has been reached.

Goldsmith's Wax Ring Pre-Form Sizing Tool

US Patent:
4626145, Dec 2, 1986
Filed:
Jun 14, 1985
Appl. No.:
6/744524
Inventors:
Eduardo C. Vasquez - Miami FL
International Classification:
B23B 4100, B23B 4506
US Classification:
408196
Abstract:
A tool for precisely sizing wax ring pre-forms used by jewelers and goldsmiths in the manufacture of hand carved jewelry which is readily adjustable to the desired ring size and which is then hand operated to scrape the wax preform to the desired diametral dimension and required depth to obtain a wax ring pattern for the ring to be fashioned. The wax ring pattern having the correct ring size is then separated from the wax ring pre-form stock for further crafting by the goldsmith to shape the exterior of the ring to its desired configuration.

Wax Ring Pattern Machining Tool

US Patent:
4744274, May 17, 1988
Filed:
Feb 4, 1987
Appl. No.:
7/010729
Inventors:
Eduardo C. Vasquez - Coral Gables FL
International Classification:
B23B 302, B23B 500
US Classification:
82 4R
Abstract:
A wax ring pattern machining tool which enables a goldsmith to create a precision machined wax ring pattern for subsequent casting in precious metal by the lost wax process. The machining operations on the ring pattern are carried out while the pattern is still a part of a wax ring preform tube. The machining tool may be employed to create circumferential grooves or channels on the exterior of the ring pattern or to reduce the diameter of the ring tube or otherwise shape it circumferentially. An indexing function is provided for securing the tool in a fixed radial position, permitting the use of a faceting tool for creating flat or beveled surfaces on the exterior of ring. Upon completion of the exterior design of the pattern, the tool is employed to size the ring and separate the ring pattern from the ring tube preform.

Weapon Use Tracking And Signaling System

US Patent:
7509766, Mar 31, 2009
Filed:
Feb 6, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/773862
Inventors:
Eduardo Carlos Vasquez - Coral Gables FL, US
International Classification:
F41A 9/53
US Classification:
42 101, 42 102, 42 105
Abstract:
This invention refers to a compact monitoring system for firearms, including a detecting and tracking structure and a method for confirming ammunition has been discharged from said weapon, more specifically, to a weapon usage detecting and tracking device and a method that utilizes battery operated microcontroller circuitry, and could be used in combination either with a load depletion process warning system which in turn comprises a method for signalizing the user of the depletion process using luminous indicators, and a time and date event recorder or in combination with both, sharing substantially the same structure. Provisions are made in the time recording structure to securely retrieve use information at a further date in a way that may include secure handshaking and a serial number.
