I have 8 years of professional history working with youth who have behavioral and psychiatric issues. I believe that working with troubled teens is specialized, as only few individual possess the ability to skillfully manage the adolescent in crisis...which I have aquired over the years. I am in pursuit of this position because I have experience working in a residential youth care facility and a moderate level therapeutic lockup. I believe that my years of experience will allow me to be an asset to any program. Addionally, I have training in motivational interviewing, conflict resolution, de-esculation techniques, as well as crisis stabilization including PAR certification. I have a certification as a Medical Technician specializing in mental health, which is helpful when working with youth who have learning disorders, compromised mental health, substance abuse issues, and chronic behavioral problems. I am also bilingual and fluent in Spanish.
