Philosophy:
A native of Fort Collins, Dr. Beard knew early in life that he wanted to be a physician like his father, a pediatrician. His specialized fellowship training in spine surgery led him back to Colorado to participate in research and advanced spinal treatment. His practice focuses on all types of spine problems and is comprehensive in spinal treatment and procedures. Dr. Beard received his medical degree from Creighton University. His orthopaedic surgery residency was at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and his fellowship training in spine surgery was at Midwestern Regional Spinal Cord Injury Unit, Northwestern University School of Medicine and Elmwood Medical Center, Tulane University. Dr. Beard's hobbies include hunting, fishing, skiing and motorcycle riding.
