Research involving the social epidemiology of brain damage or dysfunction in children. One of the most important group of preventable causes of such brain damage involve a variety of personal and medical problems (risk factors) that lead to problem pregnancies. Many of these problems are clearly preventable and I am very interested in helping people to both understand these problems and to do what they can to prevent them at the local or 'grass roots' level. This is especially important in the case of women who are now pregnant, or expect to become pregnant in the future, and men can help if they are interested and motivated.
