I am a Board Certified psychiatrist with training at Harvard, UCLA and UCSD. I specialize in depression, anxiety and various mood disorders. I also have a special interest in the field of substance abuse including opiate dependence. I provide both medication management and psychotherapy. If the idea of taking a pill is unnatural to you I will respect your decision. Many times psychotherapy is as effective in treating the disease as the medicine. However, several more severe mental conditions do require taking the medication. I can promise that it will always be a mutual decision between you and your doctor.
