Having experienced the turmoil mixed with anticipation and eventual joy of being a relocating spouse a number of times, I believe I bring a real understanding of all the different aspects that moving to a new home can entail. For many years I have worked with a number of local builders getting familiar with their products and services so that I can offer the best counsel on new construction to my clilents.<br/><br/>After a successful career in real estate in the Annapolis area of Maryland in the early '90's, I moved to New Castle County, Delaware to accompany my daughter as she pursued her dreams as a competitive figure skater at the University of Delawae. I worked in the mortgage industry for a number of years for companies such as Chase Mortgage and SunTrust Mortgage, among others. This allowed me to stay involved in the real estate field while providing needed services to my customers and clients. Eventually I decided to return to real estate sales, which is my first love. It's important to me to help clients structure a transaction that is in sync with their financial needs. I do not encourage people to buy above their means, believing that buyers should be comfortable with their house payment after assessing ALL of their financial obligations. Very often I sit down with clients and prepare a household budget so they understand how this very important purchase is going to impact their financial health and well-being. Educating buyers as to resources available to them such as first time home buyer programs as well as discounts on new construction and where to find the lowest interest rates is crucial to a successful transaction. Our current economic climate has brought us all back to the reality that a home is just that... a personal addition to your wealth-building portfolio over the long term, versus a means to flip and 'get-rich-quick'. Each client deserves their own time and attention. I have helped many clients buy their first, second and third homes. Building long lasting relationships is important to me.
