Philosophy:
My approach to psychotherapy encompasses cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic techniques. I utilize an engaging, proactive style, which is aimed at empowering my clients with new tools to make the desired life changes. In particular, I embrace a focus that emphasizes self-awareness (the first step to making a change) and positive self-regard (healthy self-love). I also promote the use of concepts, such as healthy and balanced, as opposed to "normal". It is my goal to help clients feel supported and guided as they combine new strategies and thinking with their sense of responsibility for their well-being.
