When I was a freshman in college, a very close family member was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition. There were no doctors in my family and we struggled to find answers to our questions. The feeling of helplessness prompted me to change my major, pursue pre-medical undergraduate education, and go on to obtain a medical degree. I have been in practice since 2007, and I come to work every day driven by the desire to help patients understand their diagnoses and symptoms. Understanding one's diagnosis and what to expect going forward is essential and equally as important as the prescribed treatments. As an osteopathic physician, I believe in a holistic approach to patient care, and physical therapy and counseling are often part of my approach to management. Patient care is a collaborative effort, and I strive to work as a team with my patients and their families to provide compassionate neurological care.
