Philosophy:
I look to make sure my clients from 5 y.o. to 75 y.o. feel heard, understood and inspired to make change. I am a very active therapist who works to help my clients learn to help themselves but I am also happy to offer many suggestions. Even though you can count on feeling empathized with in session, you can count on feeling challenged when a pattern you've developed is working against you rather than helping you work toward achieving your goals. I find looking at the root of the problem as an important part of the process but the primary goal is to help my clients make changes in the things that aren't working well in their lives. I find challenging cases such as resitant teens and families going through separation/divorce are often my favorites because I've had such notable successes and making differences in the most difficult situations is very rewarding. I am a 5 star provider on Angie's List and received a Kid's Crown Award from S. Fla. Parenting magazine in July, 2012.
