Supersonic Flow Diffuser With Energy Redistribution

US Patent:
4058141, Nov 15, 1977
Filed:
Jul 19, 1976
Appl. No.:
5/706320
Inventors:
Siegfried H. Hasinger - Dayton OH
David K. Miller - Dayton OH
Assignee:
The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the Air

Abstract:
A supersonic diffuser having a plurality of blades therein for dividing the diffuser channel into a plurality of approximately axisymmetric ducts wherein a portion of said ducts ingest a boundary layer along at least one of the walls of the supersonic diffuser. The blades in the diffuser channel have their upstream ends bent away from the wall having the boundary layer to redirect the flow into the ducts. In one embodiment the wall between the duct having the boundary layer and the duct adjacent to the duct having the boundary layer is made in two sections with both sections being bent away from the wall having the boundary layer, to provide internal redistribution between the two ducts.

Point Of Law Search System And Method

US Patent:
RE44394, Jul 23, 2013
Filed:
Mar 29, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/434541
Inventors:
David J. Miller - Dayton OH, US
Harry Silver - Shaker Heights OH, US
Andrew Freisthler - Lebanon OH, US
Assignee:
LexisNexis, a division of Reed Elsevier Inc. - Miamisburg OH
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
707708, 707728
Abstract:
A “More Like This Headnote” search relates online headnotes intelligently so that users have the means to retrieve related headnotes quickly and easily. This is achieved by using a tailored search type in the search engine, which is designed to handle the text of a headnote as a search string. Retrieval logic then presents the search results to the user in a “Virtual Digest” view comprising related headnotes and case materials, sorted by user-selected options.
