Philosophy:
I focus on understanding the root of a person's problem using a holistic perspective. Then in collaboration with the patient(and sometimes family) create a comprehensive treatment plan. For the 1st 15 years of practice I used traditional psychiatry tools: psychotherapy and medication. For the last 20 years I added complementary and alternative medicine with skills in acupuncture, herbal and nutritional medicine, mindfulness-based therapies, and functional medicine( or whole systems medicine).
