Philosophy:

Dr. Regan specializes in medical oncology and hematology. He treats all types of cancers with a special focus in hematology and hematologic malignancies. Education plays an important role in his treatment philosophy. He wants all patients to understand whats going on in their bodies, including the mechanisms and evolution of their disease. With a warm and friendly perspective infused with humor, Dr. Regan helps his patients maintain a positive outlook even in tough times. Throughout his career, Dr. Regan has displayed a passion for advancing medical knowledge. In the 1980s, he did the first research on the diagnosis of Aids. He helped form Chiles Research Institute at Providence Medical Center, helped establish an immunology lab and brought the first flowcytometer to Portland. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family.
