Abstract:
Method for predicting an average temperature of a conductive structural component () over an elongated length of the structural component. The method can include measuring () an electrical resistance of the structural component () between two locations () spaced apart from each other. The method can also include predicting () an average temperature of the structural component () between the two locations based on the measuring step. Using the information gained in this step, a dimensional characteristic of the structural component () can be predicted () based on the average temperature.
