Philosophy:
I have been in private practice for more than 12 years and love what I do. It is important to me to remain current and provide the most up-to-date, research-based treatment approaches. Therefore, I limit my practice to anxiety and related disorders. I work with children (starting in the 1st grade), adolescents, and adults. We all live with stress and anxiety. When it gets to the point of feeling out-of-control and interfering with quality life, then it is time to seek help. The positive news is that anxiety disorders are very treatable. The primary treatment approach I use is called cognitive-behavioral therapy or CBT for short. It is a form of “talk therapy” has been shown to be effective for a variety of problems in addition to anxiety disorders, such as depression, ADHD, and trichotillomania to name a few.
