Opto-Electrically Controlled Direct Current Motor Speed Control Circuit

US Patent:
5896487, Apr 20, 1999
Filed:
Mar 5, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/611399
Inventors:
Billy Reese Masten - Shallowater TX
Darrell Vines - Lubbock TX
International Classification:
H02P 5178
US Classification:
388811
Abstract:
A dc motor speed control circuit is provided. A first circuit utilizing an opto-electric sensor for providing an input signal corresponding to a desired dc motor speed is connected to a second circuit and the second circuit is connected to the dc motor, wherein the second circuit responds to the input signal and causes current to flow through the dc motor corresponding to the input signal. A temperature circuit, voltage level circuit and current level circuit may also be connected to the second circuit to control the dc motor.

Vacuum Extraction Business Method

US Patent:
2005001, Jan 20, 2005
Filed:
Jul 14, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/619272
Inventors:
Victor Vines - Dallas TX, US
Robert Kennard - Dallas TX, US
Vince George - Dallas TX, US
Neil VanHooydonk - Dallas TX, US
Darrell Vines - Lubbock TX, US
International Classification:
A61D001/10
US Classification:
606123000
Abstract:
The invention is a method of monitoring and recording factors that occur during a vacuum-based fetal extraction. In one embodiment, the method includes counting a number of pulls made with a vacuum extraction cup that is attached to a fetal head, counting a number of times the vacuum extraction cup pops off the fetal head, counting an amount of time the vacuum extraction cup is attached to the fetal head, automatically recording a maximum cup pressure detected during the time the vacuum extraction cup is attached to the fetal head, and counting an amount of time a pressure is within a predetermined percentage range of the maximum pressure detected during the time the vacuum extraction cup is attached to the fetal head.
