Darius Peikari, MD is a Board-Certified Fellowship-Trained Internal Medicine Physician in Plano, Texas. Dr. Peikari takes pride in getting to know all of his patients on a one-to-one basis. His background as an educator and tutor makes explaining medical information to patients in terms they can understand especially easy. Dr. Peikari is a Dallas native who has demonstrated his pride of this community in a variety of local activities that benefit the citizens of Plano. Dr. Peikari is happily married and has two beautiful children. Dr. Peikari served as Chief of Medicine at the Medical Center of Plano from 2009 to 2010. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Peikari is a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, and Dallas County Medical Society. Dr. Peikari earned his Medical Degree from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, where he conducted breast cancer research through a Biochemistry Laboratory Fellowship. He completed a Rotating Internship in Internal Medicine and Categorical Residency in Internal Medicine at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas where he received recognition for the Outstanding Diagnosis of X-rays. In addition, Green College of Medicine at Oxford University in the United Kingdom selected Dr. Peikari from a worldwide pool of applicants for a prestigious Externship in Neurology. At Oxford, he worked under the world's expert physician in rare neurologic conditions. Throughout his education, multiple honor societies honored Dr. Peikari with membership.
