Child And Infant Restraint And Fastener

Child And Infant Restraint And Fastener

US Patent:
5060421, Oct 29, 1991
Filed:
Jun 29, 1990
Appl. No.:
7/545844
Inventors:
Dario D. Castelli - Pittsburgh PA
International Classification:
E05B 332
US Classification:
49463
Abstract:
A child restraint includes a gate that can be closed to impede passage by a child or infant through an accessway. The restraint includes a fastener for releasably securing the gate in its closed position. Two separate sequential manipulations are required to unfasten the fastener, which renders it difficult for an infant or child to unfasten the fastener, yet permits quick and easy unfastening by an adult. The restraint can include a gate that is collapsible to permit the restraint to be quickly and easily removed from one accessway and remounted in another accessway. A fastener for releasably securing an article in a desired position includes three strips of hook and loop type fastening material. An intermediate strip can be positioned between the two remaining strips. The hook and loop material releasably secures the three members together as a unit.

Healthcare Management System

Healthcare Management System

US Patent:
2007026, Nov 15, 2007
Filed:
May 7, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/800790
Inventors:
Dario Dante Castelli - Pittsburgh PA, US
International Classification:
G06Q 10/00, G06Q 40/00
US Classification:
705 4, 705 2, 705 1
Abstract:
A method of healthcare management wherein set required standards of healthcare for insured participating physicians are controlled by the physicians liability insurer. The required standards include requiring audio or audio visual recording, and retention of such recordings, of consultations between the participating physician and a patient, and upon the occurrence of a malpractice claim by a patient, evaluating the claim as to whether litigation is warranted or unwarranted. Such evaluation includes at a minimum review of the audio recording by the participating physician, the patient and the physician's liability insurer. Additional parties, such as the court, may be involved in such evaluation as necessary. The patient is awarded compensation in cases of warranted litigation in accordance with the evaluation, and malpractice insurance premiums are reduced for the participating physicians.
