I'm a big health nut and love to work out and eat right. I wake up every morning at 5:30 and start my day with an hour workout. It's a great way to deal with stress, and my hope is if I face aging head on I'll age gracefully. I also love to go Mountain Biking, Hiking, and play Golf when I have the time. My other interests include working on my house, we recently sandblasted the exterior to give it a much more contemporary feeling, you should come and check it out. Next I'll be installing Solar Panels and jumping on the going Green bandwagon. I also love to travel, try new things, spend time with family and friends, and see movies. I don't have enough time to do it all, but do as much as I can when I can.

Abstract:
A turbocharger having a bypass port compressor, with a center channel that flows directly into the compressor wheel, and an annular channel which acts as a bypass and provides flow either into or out of the compressor wheel, with an inner deflector having at least a first surface substantially perpendicular to the annular channel and extending radially into the annular channel, and at least a second surface substantially parallel to the annular channel and extending axially along the annular channel, such that line-of-sight transmission of sound from the annular channel is eliminated, and sound waves are instead dampened or canceled, reducing noise emissions from the compressor.
