Abstract:
A dispenser for dispensing materials is provided including a container for holding the material to be dispensed, a plurality of frame portions for holding decorative items, locking apparatus for locking the frame portions to the container, and a dispensing means for dispensing materials from the container. The dispenser also includes a base for receiving the container and frame portions, a memory device for playing a sound when the dispenser is removed from the base, and a switch for activating the memory device when the container is removed from the base. The plurality of frames each contain an aperture and each aperture contains an inner edge operable to lock onto the container. The frames each contain clips to lock onto each other and hold the container. The dispenser includes a dispensing mechanism and the base includes an opening for receiving the dispensing mechanism. The dispenser may also include a cap for receiving the container and frame portions and a cover for covering the aperture may be included.

Abstract:
A set of identical connectors are secured to a plurality of rectangular panels to form a tubular or box-like storage unit with the connectors forming parallel longitudinal edges thereof. The connectors each have a longitudinal T-shaped rib and a T-shaped, longitudinal recess, capable of slideably receiving the rib of an adjacent storage unit, so that a plurality of units may be arranged and stacked to form a self sustaining structure from which one or more storage units may be slideably removed without disturbance to the remaining structure and units. In one embodiment a connector and a panel are formed integrally as a one-piece unit.

Abstract:
A molded container and closure latch mechanism include a top portion and bottom portion which are connected by a hinge which biases the top away from the bottom unless the latch mechanism is engaged. The latch mechanism is pivotally connected to the top. It engages a molded contoured segment on the bottom to secure the container in a closed position. Anomalies on the top surface of the latch mechanism provide a convenience to the user in locating pressure points for opening and closing the container. A separator can be used internal to the container to create two separate compartments. In one adaptation the interior surface can include raised protrusions which permit contents such as a soap bar to be raised off from the surface. Other modifications too the interior can be effected to accommodate a wide variety of products. The containers can be provided in a grouping with relative dimensions suitable to store a wide variety of personal effects.

Abstract:
A shock absorber member is provided in a cosmetic compact to isolate a pan containing cosmetic product such as a pressed powder foundation, from impacts and vibration that might cause the product to crack or crumble. The shock absorber has at least two arched portions suspending the pan in a clearance in a base of the cosmetic compact. The arched portions are sufficiently resilient to allow the pan to move within the clearance relative to the base. The arched portions prevent shocks, impacts or vibrations from being transmitted to the pan from the base.
