Motor Mount Repair System And Methods Therefor

US Patent:
7647682, Jan 19, 2010
Filed:
Jun 17, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/869251
Inventors:
Marve D. Adams - Las Vegas NV, US
Daniel D. Coppola - North Las Vegas NV, US
International Classification:
B23P 19/04
US Classification:
2940209, 2940218, 2940204, 2940202
Abstract:
A motor mount repair system for use in a component assembly comprising a degradable member, a framework and a bolt-housing shaft of the component assembly includes an adhesion and sealing material comprising at least one resin. The degradable member of the component assembly is coupled in co-operative relationship to both the framework and to the bolt-housing shaft of the component assembly. When applied to the degradable member, the adhesion and sealing material adheres to and seals the degradable member permitting both repair of the degradable member and re-use of the component assembly. The component assembly comprises at least one of a motor mount, a shock absorber end, a sway bar bushing and a control arm bushing. Various methods of repairing the degradable member of the component assembly with the motor mount repair system are used.

Gate Valve Lid

US Patent:
5555998, Sep 17, 1996
Filed:
Feb 8, 1994
Appl. No.:
8/192975
Inventors:
Daniel D. Coppola - North Las Vegas NV
International Classification:
B65D 9010, F16L 500
US Classification:
220484
Abstract:
An improved gate valve lid for covering an access tube of a service box assembly leading to a gate valve below street level. The lid has a vertical height which is greater than its diameter so that the lid may not be flipped out of the service box assembly. In one embodiment, the lid includes a two-part assembly having an upper portion which is sized to rest in a tapered upper section of the service box located near street level, and a lower portion which may be displaced laterally with respect to the upper portion to allow the lower portion to be centered within a lower section of the service box, which may be out of alignment with the upper section. In this embodiment, the lower adjustable portion of the gate valve lid is preferably a tubular element slidably located on a cross pin passing through holes located at the upper end of the element across a downwardly opening recess in the upper portion. In one embodiment, the lower portion of the lid is defined by a plurality of downwardly depending fingers.
