Abstract:
A two piece electrical terminal is shown where one part is comprised of a contact member having a contact section in the form of a pin and retention section. A conductor connecting member is comprised of a conductor connecting section and a retaining member. The contact member has a lug extending along one side thereof and the retaining member has a complementary opening which retains the contact member and conductor connecting member together.

A header assembly includes an insulative housing comprising a plurality of walls defining an interior cavity, and a plurality of contacts within said cavity and extending through one of the walls to an exterior of the housing for surface mounting to a circuit board. The insulating housing comprises at least one alignment rib extending on an exterior surface thereof. The contacts are formed to abut the alignment rib, thereby ensuring coplanarity of the contacts for surface mounting to a circuit board.

Abstract:
A header assembly includes an insulative contact housing having a plurality of walls defining an interior cavity and an insulative alignment housing having at least one alignment rib extending on an exterior surface thereof. The alignment housing is separately provided and independently mounted to the contact housing. A plurality of contacts are included within the cavity and extend through one of the walls to an exterior of the contact housing wherein the contacts flex against the alignment housing and abut the alignment rib, thereby ensuring coplanarity of the contacts for surface mounting to a circuit board.

Abstract:
A connector assembly including a first connector attachable to a first electrical component and a second connector attachable to a second electrical component and releasably engaged with the first connector. The second connector includes a housing, a latch member and a hinge hingedly attaching the latch member to a surface of the housing. The hinge includes at least one beam extending from the latch member to the surface of the housing and curving 90 degrees from the latch member. The latch member includes a push portion at one end and a lock engagement portion at an opposite end. Push portion has an upper push surface configured to receive a force and an opposing lower surface facing the outer surface of the housing and defining a space between outer surface and push portion. The lower surface includes a rib protruding into the space between the outer surface and push portion.
