Systems And Methods For Determining Actuation Duration Of A Relay

US Patent:
2013034, Dec 26, 2013
Filed:
Jun 26, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/533126
Inventors:
Dalibor Zulim - Conyers GA, US
Assignee:
ABL IP HOLDING LLC - Conyers GA
International Classification:
H01H 47/22
US Classification:
361170
Abstract:
An example system for determining the actuation duration of a relay can include a relay, a current-sensing device, and a controller. The relay can have an actuation coil, and armature, and a first and second contact. The current-sensing device can measure a current through the actuation coil. The controller can actuate the relay. The controller can also receive from the current-sensing device a plurality of measurement values for the current through the actuation coil. The controller can determine an actuation duration based on a local minimum value for the plurality of measurement values. The actuation duration can correspond to a duration of a movement of an armature of the relay from the first contact of the relay to the second contact of the relay. An actuation delay of the relay can be calculated based on the zero-crossing time of an input voltage value and the actuation duration.

Lighting Assemblies For Vending Machines

US Patent:
2009009, Apr 9, 2009
Filed:
Jul 17, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/175063
Inventors:
Dalibor Zulim - Conyers GA, US
Mark Anthony Hand - Covington GA, US
Forrest Starnes McCanless - Oxford GA, US
Assignee:
ABL IP Holding LLC - Conyers GA
International Classification:
H05B 37/02, A47B 81/00
US Classification:
315297, 3122235
Abstract:
Display cases having lighting assemblies and methods of illuminating display cases with such lighting assemblies. Embodiments of the lighting assemblies may be used in display cases of any type and particularly in those where the purchaser selects via an external mechanism (e.g., buttons) a product from a variety of products stored inside the display, such as a vending machine. Lighting assemblies are installed within a vending machine, such as on or within the vending machine shelves or product dividers, and their light emission controlled depending on the product being selected from the vending machine. In on embodiment, all light sources within the vending machine except those illuminating the selected product are dimmed. In this way, the product being selected by the purchaser can be emphasized. In other embodiments, color or multi-color LEDs are used to emit light that best compliments the color of products housed within the vending machine.

Automatic Self-Addressing Method For Wired Network Nodes

US Patent:
8296488, Oct 23, 2012
Filed:
Apr 27, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/768270
Inventors:
Dalibor Zulim - Conyers GA, US
Assignee:
ABL IP Holding LLC - Conyers GA
International Classification:
G06F 13/00, G06F 3/00
US Classification:
710104, 710 9, 710316
Abstract:
A method and system for addressing nodes in a multi-drop wired network are disclosed. In an embodiment nodes communicate via a two-way communication bus. Upon receipt of an address command, a first node assigns itself a first address, closes a switch to activate an output port of the first node to enable a second node to receive communications from the first node, and sends a second address onto the two-way communication bus. The second address is received by all previously addressed nodes, including a controller if used, as well as the second node, which is as yet unaddressed. Upon receipt of the second address, the second node repeats the process. If a node does not receive an acknowledgement that a subsequent node has addressed itself, that node deactivates its output port and terminates the network.

Lighting Control Device

US Patent:
2014006, Mar 6, 2014
Filed:
Aug 28, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/596768
Inventors:
Dalibor Zulim - Conyers GA, US
Stephen Haight Lydecker - Snellville GA, US
Assignee:
ABL IP Holding LLC - Conyers GA
International Classification:
H05B 37/02, G05F 1/10
US Classification:
315307, 323234
Abstract:
A lighting control device can include a control module and a processing module. The control module can provide a driving signal. The driving signal can modify a control voltage on a control interface. The control voltage can control a controllable ballast or driver. The processing module can determine a duty cycle of the driving signal. The control module and the processing module can receive power via the control interface and a power supply on the control device.
