Clinical Skills Provide skilled nursing care to high-risk patients. Monitor and maintain ventilator-assisted patients, evaluate cardiac rhythm strips and administer life-sustaining medications on time and appropriately to compromised patients. Perform physical assessments on compromised ventilator assisted patients. Perform EKGs on cardiac compromised patients. Start intravenous lines as well as collect blood for prescribed lab tests. Start and maintain intravenous critical care drips for compromised patients. Administer on-site influenza vaccinations for various business/companies, obtaining consent and insurance information, receiving payments, client teaching. Case Management Analyze and interpret patients medical histories, physical assessments, symptoms and test results to determine appropriate nursing diagnosis and ask for specific orders. Recommends diagnostic test and intervention that can be beneficial for the patient. Collaborate with all members of the health care team (including doctors, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, dietary, and social services) to develop and implement patient care plans.
