Philosophy:
Christopher T. Lawler, MD specializes in non-operative musculoskeletal injuries and fractures in adults and children. He also treats athletes with non-orthopedic conditions such as concussions, soft tissue injuries, skin disorders, and other sports-related conditions, and has a particular interest in sports injuries related to football, ice hockey, and gymnastics. Dr. Lawler serves as team physician for the Idaho Steelheads, Idaho Stampede, Northwest Nazarene University, and Kuna High School, and previously served as team physician for the Boise Burn. He earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont and completed his internship at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. He completed his residency training in emergency medicine at Michigan State University, where he volunteered with the university athletic sports medicine program and worked with the ice hockey and gymnastics teams. He performed his sports medicine fellowship in Boise, where he worked with Boise State athletic teams. Dr. Lawler has been with Boise Orthopedic Clinic since 2005.
