Abstract:
A method, a product and an apparatus suited to transform radioactive waste by forming an amalgam of crushed hazardous radioactive waste, such as spent nuclear fuel rods, mixed with copious amounts of lead pellets, also granulated, to form a mixture in which lead granules overwhelm, and which is then further enclosed between solid lead slabs and compressed between rollers under high pressure to render the rolled end product a compacted amalgam radiation-free for integration into the environment.

Abstract:
A surgical tool whose shaft terminates into a tip having a smooth, rounded edge and that has pores on its top or side, but none one the underside of its base. There may be a flattened base indicative of the shape of a bubble, basket, funnel, circular disc, oblong shape, Maltese cross or mulberry. The pores may be directed backward. A spring spiral may be provided within the shaft to exert a spring bias. The globe may be in the form of a sleeve fitted over a conventional phacoemulsification tip and needs to be positioned to keep the phacoemulsification tip from contacting the sleeve during operation. Alternatively, the globe may be part of a tip itself.

A surgical tool that includes a tip with a smooth, rounded edges and free of any sharp edges. The tip may have pores on its top, but none on the underside of its base. The distal end may have an open port with micro wires that form a Maltese cross shape. The distal end may be instead closed with protrusions spaced from each other by gaps or recesses.
