Abstract:
An apparatus for stabilizing a ladder. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises a frame releasably attachable to the ladder, and one or more stabilizer arms extending from the frame. The apparatus may include one or more clamps rotatably disposed on the frame for securing the apparatus on the ladder, and the one or more clamps may be disposed in a fixed rotational relationship with the one or more stabilizer arms. The frame may comprise a first and second brace members disposed in mating engagement, and the first and second brace members may be adjustably securable to each other by releasable fasteners.

A cleaning and filtering apparatus and method for a tank such as an aquarium. The major components are an inlet water controller, a suction unit, and a filter container unit. The filter container is selectively connected to the suction unit and a waste outlet to clean the tank and discharge waste water from the tank. The inlet water controller comprises a float connected to a valve to automatically replace the discharged water when the water level in the tank drops.

A digital compass has a digital screen that shows the distance between compass legs, one half the angle between the compass legs, and a ratio between half of an inductive rod raising value to a length of the compass leg from a compass leg mounting point to a carrier arm mounting point. The information on the digital screen is sufficient for operation of the compass, such as dividing a circle into equal arcs.
