Cheryl Ackerman MD is a Board Certified Dermatologist by the American Board of Dermatology and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dermatology. She started her family based Dermatology practice in 1996 based on her training, knowledge, experience and compassion. Dr. Ackerman 's. practice of Dermatology is located in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Dr. Ackerman practices General Dermatology. In addition she treats patients with Botox Cosmetic, IPL hair removal, chemical peels, filler agents for wrinking and microdermabrasion. Dr. Ackerman treats patients with Atopic Dermatitis, Psoriasis, Acne, warts, contact dermatitis pruritus, hair and nail disorders. She treats patients with skin manifestations of systemic diseases as well. In addition she evaluates patients with all diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. She is known by her colleagues and patients as a very experienced and knowledgeable physician with over 20 years experience. Her diverse background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Science, residency in Internal Medicine, and residency with specialization in Dermatology. She has written several articles in Dermatology and published a chapter in a major Dermatology textbook as well.
