Abstract:
A fish scale removal apparatus () utilizes a rotary motor, which is encased in a cylindrical housing and rotates a blade coupling member (). The apparatus () is designed to rotate at a speed of 1,500-2,500 RPMs. A scale removing blade assembly () having a shaft () and a plurality of planar blades () is assembled to the apparatus () by inserting a coupling end () of the shaft into the blade coupling member (). The planar blades () have a width (W) that is substantially greater than the thickness (T) allowing the blade to flex.
