Abstract:

A marker in the shape of a flat round disc that has varying permanent information () (for identifying different objects) imprinted upon the top of the marker that identifies the marker's use and areas for information to be permanently inscribed by a user with a portable electric en-graving tool or for temporary information to be placed thereon. The marker has a varying size holes(), () through the center of the marker from top to bottom that allows different types and sizes of anchors to be used to attach the marker to varying surfaces or mounting devices or materials. The marker has an additional hole () for other means of attachment. The marker is solid and made of a plastic that will flex and give and is permanent and durable and is produced in varying colors for visibility and identifying different objects.

Abstract:

a stake marker, with a nail-able head insert () for the purpose of permanently attaching other marker items (provided by user) and a tube body (), for locating points on the ground. The tube () can be steel, galvanized steel, or stainless steel approximately ½ inch in diameter and varies in length to approximately 2 feet. The nail-able head insert () can be waterproofed wood, plastic or metal. Crimping () the tube () onto the wood insert () secures the insert to the tubing. Various means of securing the insert to the tube such as adhesive () and by using a pin (). A metal or plastic insert (), that lips the top edge of the tube, the insert having a pilot hole () for receiving a nail or screw, and having an expanding body, as the nail or screw is inserted, to expand the insert body against the tube. The head of the tube and insert is coated with paint or vinyl () for visibility and durability. An identifying marker item, provided by the user, can be permanently attached to the head of the stake marker with a nail or non removable screw.
