Philosophy:
I believe health and healing must consider our basic needs of significance and meaning, our need for growth and connection of love. In addition to addressing the biological and psychosocial needs (how society affects us and how we affect society), I have found that addressing the existential needs early on provides clients tremendous inspiration for healing and significantly eases the transition into greater well-being and more lasting peace of mind. Existentialism deals with questions of existence and addresses the big questions of life such as what is the purpose of life, what happens when I die, how can I benefit from this difficulty, am I more than this body and these problems?...etc. Lastly, research demonstrates that the happiest people know their strengths and use them not only for themselves but for the betterment of others. I can empower you to discover and channel your latent strengths to provide you greater meaning and success and as a result, benefit those around you as well!
