Warm Tube Mixing Box

US Patent:
6612923, Sep 2, 2003
Filed:
Sep 23, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/252099
Inventors:
Brian M Flynn - Oreland PA 19075
International Classification:
F24F 1304
US Classification:
454265, 454261
Abstract:
A mixer box for mixing two separate sources of air. Air from a first source is fed into a plurality of vented conduits. Each of the vented conduits has at least one vent opening, that allows the air from within the conduits to escape and enter a mixing chamber. Air from a second air source flows into the mixing chamber around the vented conduits. As the second air source flows around the vented conduits, turbulence is produced that mixes the second air source with the first air source escaping from the vented conduits. Flaps are used to control the flow of the first source of air out of the vented conduits and the flow of the second source of air around the vented conduits.

Multi-Function Exercise Apparatus That Utilizes A Single Cable Pulley System

US Patent:
6027433, Feb 22, 2000
Filed:
Feb 9, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/020348
Inventors:
Brian M. Flynn - Oreland PA
International Classification:
A63B 2106
US Classification:
482 98
Abstract:
An exercise apparatus that enables a person to perform a variety of different exercises. The exercise apparatus has a frame structure that includes a plurality of vertical columns. A bench assembly is supported by at least one of the vertical columns at a variable angle of inclination. A weight holder also is coupled to at least one of the vertical columns, wherein the weight holder is free to move in a vertical direction along the length of the column. In addition to the bench assembly, at least one exercise mechanism is coupled to the frame structure. Each exercise mechanism includes an element that is pivotably coupled to the frame structure. A pulley is connected to each element at a point a predetermined distance from the pivot point. Additional pulleys are mounted on the frame structure, thereby forming an overall pulley arrangement. A cable extends through the pulley arrangement including the pulleys on the exercise mechanisms.
