Systems And Methods For Providing Vacuum Encapsulation For Climate Control Panels

US Patent:
2011018, Aug 4, 2011
Filed:
Nov 9, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/942898
Inventors:
Brent Thurman Cook - Salt Lake City UT, US
Joseph Byron Alexander - Salt Lake City UT, US
Jorge Gustavo Gatica - Lehi UT, US
Ballard T. White - Provo UT, US
A. Brent Strong - Sandy UT, US
International Classification:
B32B 3/12, B29C 65/00
US Classification:
428116, 156285, 1562722
Abstract:
A climate control system according to implementations of the invention includes one or more vacuum chambers. The vacuum chamber is encompassed by a chamber wall that is substantially impervious to gases. The vacuum chamber houses one of several combinations. In one combination, the near vacuum has yet to be created, and the vacuum chamber houses substantially-pure carbon dioxide and un-reacted carbon dioxide reducing agent. In a second combination, the near vacuum has been created, and the vacuum chamber houses reaction products of a chemical reaction between substantially-pure carbon dioxide and carbon dioxide reducing agent in a near vacuum. Various methods are used for creating vacuum chambers and for generating near vacuum conditions within such chambers. Various systems and structures can utilize such vacuum chambers and panels containing such chambers.

Climate Controlled Housing Unit

US Patent:
2003012, Jul 10, 2003
Filed:
Oct 28, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/281888
Inventors:
Brent Cook - Salt Lake City UT, US
Joseph Alexander - Salt Lake City UT, US
Jorge Gatica - Eagle Mountain UT, US
International Classification:
E04C001/00, E04C002/34
US Classification:
052/309900, 052/794100
Abstract:
A modular wall panel system to facilitate modular home construction in remote locations. Each wall panel includes two complementary wall members secured in their relative positions via a panel slide lock. Each wall member is composed of layers of lightweight, thermal resistant insulation. The insulant layers are separated by reflective layers designed to attract and retain solar energy.
