Philosophy:
Prevention of cardiovascular disease is the main focus of my practice. Having practiced interventional cardiology with balloon angioplasty and stents for 16 years, now for more than a decade my practice has focused on preventing heart attacks and strokes. For those patients who come under my professional care after they have sustained a heart attack, we work to prevent another event. Over the past 15 years not one of my patients who followed my recommendations for diet, exercise and medication has sustained a heart attack. That's a 100% record. The standard cholesterol blood test used in all doctors offices, including cardiologists, misses approximately 50% of patients at significant risk for heart disease. We alone utilize a new advanced cholesterol lab HDL inc., recently established by the former lab director from the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, to detect those at risk from previously undetected high levels of LDL (bad) particles, inflammation, and genetics.
