A method of correcting parafunctional behavior of the mandibular complex by engaging in a vertical measurement of the mouth followed by stretching open the mouth even further at least once followed by inserting an anti-occluding device between the teeth and retaining it there for a pre-determined period of time then removing it and stretching the mouth wide open at least once. This method also may entail placing the tongue on the roof of the mouth [defined as the N-position] and keeping it there while opening and closing the mouth several times after which the mouth is opened to its maximum extent and then closed until the lips touch but the teeth do not touch. This position and the N-position are maintained for as long as possible and performed several times daily.

The cleaning device has a solvent-receiving end which connects to a solvent-delivery source such as a faucet or shower head. At the opposite end of the cleaning device is a funnel-like shaped solvent-discharge end which is tapered at its distal end and adapted to easily friction-fit into any receiving aperture of most human-interface devices. The inner chamber of the device has one or more fins each having an angled flap at their ends. As so connected to a solvent-delivery source and to a human-interface device, the cleaning device will enhance the force of the solvent being delivered through the cleaning device and more easily and effectively clean the human-interface device to which attached.

A method of cleaning a human-interface cleaning device commonly used for the treatment of sleep apnea.The method involves removing the first end of the hose from an air-flow generator, obtaining a cleaning device having a receiving member with a flexible base at one end and a tube-like member at the other end, inserting the flexible base into a solvent transporting mechanism, inserting the tube-like member into the first end of the flexible hose of the air-flow generator, and engaging the solvent transporting mechanism to transport solvent therefrom and into and through the cleaning device.
