I think that two things are very important and very helpful when working through mental health issues. The first is to discover and give voice to an authentic self, rather than trying to hide or people please. The second is to have some kind of spirituality (which is not the same as religion). When one is living an authentic life, and can connect to a deeper part of self, others and the universe, many mental health issues resolve themselves naturally. Of course, every person is different, and I have a multi-faceted and eclectic set of skills and interventions. Ultimately, therapy is your journey, I am a guide along the way. I believe that goodness of fit is tantamount to good psychotherapy, and strive to create a safe supportive relationship.
