Description:
Beth vacationed as a child with her large family on the island to visit family island residents. Beth worked at the Jewel of the Isle during the summer throughout college and graduated with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Business from the University of New Hampshire. Following college Beth studied diamond grading and colored stones at the Gemological Institute of America in New York, NY and worked for a corporate jeweler that specialized in referral business. Beth volunteered at P.S. 6 and was pursued her Master’s in Elementary Education at Hunter College in New York City while teaching. She also has experience teaching in Spanish Harlem and on the Upper West side in Manhattan. Shortly after the birth of her second daughter, Beth moved from New York City in order to raise her children with their cousins and grandparents, all who are now year round residents. Beth joined the Windwalker team as full time Sales Associate in January of 2005 after previously working at another local office. Her educational background, business experience, strong work ethic and dedication to individuals and the community keep the experience of buying a home very personal. As an active mother with two small children Corinne (2000) and Alina Charlotte (2004) and former Elementary School teacher, Beth is especially involved with the Nantucket Elementary School. She has a great appreciation for the work of the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club as her niece and two nephews have benefited tremendously from their membership and Corinne is now a member. Beth has worked especially hard to help local residents find affordable housing through her work as a facilitator for the non-profit developer Nantucket Homes for People, Inc.
