Attempts by French rulers to regain and retain loyalty to France when French Canadian trappers lost allegiance as they were absorbed into the Indian cultures of their wives. Reasons for France to send over Les Filles du Roi to Canada in the mid 1600's. Impact of historical events on migrations from New France (Quebec) into New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Illinois. Impact of the British imposition of a bounty on the heads of the French in Quebec, and the resulting surname and given name changes as they fled into the US prior to the Civil War. Determinations of original surnames of once French but later Anglisized names of those displaced from Quebec into the US in order to trace lineage backwards.Translation of the Drouin collection of French Canadian vital records, which provide not only birth names, dates and parishes, but parents names, residences, occupations, and even godparents' names. Who are usually related. Dit names are also provided in many instances.

2011, 2012 worked on the planning committee for UGA genealogy conferences. Awarded 4 year scholarship to BYU Hawaii in 1964 for statewide speech competition win. Chose to move to where grandparents lived instead - Salt Lake City.

I am able to transcribe and translate many old French documents.
